邊境審查收緊 澳洲移民創10年新低
: （法新社雪梨13日電） 澳洲政府今天表示，移民數量創10年來新低，誇口說他們強硬的立場不僅讓邊境審查更嚴密，還確保只接收最佳移民人選。
內政部長杜登（Peter Dutton）表示，年度永久移民去年少了2萬人，來到16萬2000人，持技術移民和家庭簽證的人數都下降。
他表示，這是10年來最低數字，可歸因於更嚴格的審查程序，且政府非常關注不實的申請。
由於在大都市的工作和人口過度擁擠問題引發關注，移民在澳洲仍是高度爭議性議題。
坎培拉當局將任何試圖經海路入境的人送至位於巴布亞紐幾內亞曼奴斯島（Manus Island）或諾魯共和國的移民拘留營進行處理，連被發現確實是難民的人都被擋在境外。
這項政策引起人權團體及聯合國的不滿。對於搭船抵達的尋求庇護者遭到嚴苛對待，聯合國曾抨擊澳洲當局。
香港一名 16 歲的小媽媽，剛生完孩子三個月就利用網路找工作，意外認識一名 41 歲洪姓男子，洪男以幫忙介紹工作為由將小媽約到家中，並乘機要求小媽替他洩慾。為求自保，小媽只好替他打手槍至射出，未料洪男卻因此變得更加興奮，完事後突撲向小媽、不顧她月經來潮，強脫她的衣物性侵得逞。事後小媽則在友人陪同下前往報警提告。
據香港《蘋果日報》報導，小媽因與友人出席聚會，臉色不佳，經友人詢問後才讓此事曝光，並在友人陪同下報警提告。審理期間，小媽在庭上供稱，替洪男打手槍是為自保「我不知道這樣會令男生更興奮...」
不過，辯方律師質疑，事發前洪男就曾多次借錢給小媽搭車、修手機，且小媽在赴約當日也打扮得較平日清涼、漂亮，認為小媽幫洪男打手槍是出於自願，兩人在發生性關係的過程中小媽也無說出拒絕的話語。
但小媽對此則強烈駁斥，指出當時洪男得知自己月經來了，也只拿出一條毛巾墊在她臀部底下，便脫去她的衣物打算逞慾，「我有夾緊大腿不讓他進去，但還是沒有用...」洪男仍強行插入，讓她痛不欲生。據悉目前因雙方各說各話，此案演變成羅生門，仍在審理當中。
